The SOONA garden sauna is delivered as a ready to use package. At the site, the sauna only needs to be connected to the mains and the stones added to the heater, after which it is ready for use. If you order your sauna with a wood stove, you will also need to put a detached chimney in place for the transport.

Delivery time varies depending on the model and delivery location, but is usually around 4-8 weeks from order. Delivery times for SOONA outdoor saunas outside Europe are always determined on a case-by-case basis. The exact delivery time will be confirmed on a case-by-case basis together with the customer.

In winter, it takes slightly longer to heat the sauna than in warmer seasons. It is therefore a good idea to start heating your wood-fired sauna early enough. An electric heater is a good choice if you value convenience and want your sauna to heat up quickly. In winter, it is a good idea to take care of ventilation and prevent the pipes from freezing if the sauna is equipped with a water system.

The need for a building permit depends on the location and size of the sauna. In Finland, with the change of the building law on 1.1.2025, the courtyard saunas in our range do not require a building permit at all. In other areas, we recommend that you check with your local building control office.

It is a good idea to dry the sauna after use with the residual heat from the stove. Regular cleaning of the surfaces will also keep the sauna fresh and inviting for a long time. In addition, regular maintenance of the heater according to the heater manufacturer's instructions, regular treatment of the wooden panels on the exterior and interior surfaces and cleaning the roof will increase the longevity of the sauna. We provide detailed maintenance instructions with each sauna.
